EOS Lip Balms: Are They Worth The Hype?

Hello everyone, now if your like me and watch a lot of American YouTube beauty guru's or read a lot of American beauty blogs then you know that EOS is seriously hyped up and loved over there; so much so that I was desperate to get my hands on one, as according to all these beauty gurus they are an incredible lip balm. If you live in the UK then it's pretty hard to get these, I know they sell them in Selfridge's and Ebay, but even then your paying around £7 for this one little lip balm. So is it worth it? The answer being, absolutely not. I honestly do not see what everyone raves about, this is one of the worst lip balms I have ever used, my lips were dryer after using this than they were before I put it on! The balm just sits on the lips and doesn't ever seem to sink in, whilst at the same sucks all the moisture out. I do admit that they smell gorgeous but truly that is the only good thing about this product. The shape makes them hard to store, and they are just awful all round. If your going to get a lip balm I recommend Nivea or Burt's Bees, just stay well clear from EOS !

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation Review and Swatches

Hello everyone today I am bringing you a review of the Max Factor Facefinity 3 in 1 foundation. This liquid foundation claims to be a concealer, primer and foundation in one, and cost £12.
This foundation is amazing, I find that it's best applied with a buffing brush, but also looks nice when using a Beauty Blender. It is medium to full coverage without looking cakey, it covers all my redness, dark circles, and blemishes, so I don't need to use a concealer when I use this. It lasts for ages on the skin, at the end of my 11 hour days it still looks good which is incredible. It feels very light on the skin and gives a nice demi-matte finish. This foundation truly does live up to it's claims and is really nice and well worth the price.

 Bottom line:
Durability- 9/10 last for ages, stays put in heat, some transfer in my oily areas
Coverage- 9/10 Medium- full
Colour range-  6/10 If your super fair or have dark skin then you may struggle to find a match, the shade I picked up Light Ivory is the lightest available
Price- 10/10 great quality at a great price
Smell- 7/10 Average foundation smell, a bit chemically but fades when on the skin
Cakeyness- 10/10 no caking at all
Packaging- 8/10 bulky and heavy, however I love that it comes with a pump.
Would I buy this again - YES !

B. Vibrant Lip and Cheek Colour Review and Swatches

Hello everyone today I am bringing you a review of the new B. Vibrant Lip and Cheek Colours. B. is a fairly new discovery for me, and is an ethical brand, they don't test on animals, and are vegan and vegetarian safe. When looking across the B. stand in Superdrug I stumbled across these AMAZING lip and cheek crayons. They are £7.99 each so on par with the new Revlon matte and lacquer balms, except these are unbelievably high quality. When I think of a lip crayon I think of something slightly sheer, however, these are full pigment lip colours with all the moisture of a lip balm, in one narrow, easy to use crayon!  There are 5 shades available, all very vibrant and perfect for summer, I only picked up 2 but there is no doubt in my mind that I will be getting the rest ASAP. The formula is super creamy and glides on with ease, you don't need to apply a lot pressure to get an intense colour. The lasting power is amazing, I applied these at 8am and by 1pm they still looked good, no smudging, no fading, fresh looking, and my mind was blown, I have never had any lip product which looked that good for that long before, I only had to reapply once in a 13 hour day! On the cheeks they are really nice, easy to blend, and give a nice demi-matte finish that lasts for 5-6 hours before fading.

The first shade is Prom, a mid tone blue pink, throughout the day the colour got slightly darker, but is still beautiful. This for me is the perfect everyday colour.

Next is Alecia, a beautiful orangey coral, it comes out darker than it is in the tube, and throughout the day I notice it leaves a slightly more pinky coral stain, either way it's a stunning colour. As you can see from the photo, it gave my skin a little bit of a white wash with flash, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Bottom line:
Smell- No detectable scent
Texture- 9/10 Buttery, creamy, soft
Pigmentation- 10/10 intense
Packaging- 8/10 simple, twist up
Price- 9/10  £7.99 Good value for money

Beauty UK High Brow Eyebrow Kit Review + Swatches

Hello everyone, today I am bringing you a review of the Beauty UK Eyebrow kit. This is an amazing product, which features three brow powders, a wax, a double ended brush and a pair of tweezers, all in one nifty little compact for the mere price of £4 ! I love, love, love this kit, the lightest shade is perfect for blondes and the darker colours would suit a wide variety of people, not to mention that they last all day, are extremely buttery to the touch, apply really nicely and evenly, and are just perfect brow powders. The wax has very impressive staying power and keeps the hairs down and neat for a good 6 hours. The brush included isn't the best, however it does the job, I like to use the angled side for powder and the flat side for the wax; the tweezers are very good quality and do the job nicely. This is a good all rounder and has become one of my makeup staples, I would recommend this for girls on a budget, looking for good quality, at a great price!

The powders have been swatched clockwise as they are in the compact.
The first shade is a versatile warm blonde to lightest brown. I have found that when I use my brow pencil underneath this shade becomes darker, but is still blonde, and looks natural.
Next is the darkest shade of the bunch, and although it appears black in the pan it is actually very dark brown, so perfect for achieving a natural look.
The last shade is a mid to dark warm brown, and works well on a lot of people.

Bottom line:
Price- 10/10 £4 is a steal
Packaging- 9/10 compact and travel friendly, simple
Pigmentation- 10/10 enough to give colour without looking fake
Texture- 9/10 soft and buttery
Fallout- 10/10 absolutely none

MAC Saint Germain Lipstick Dupe

Hello everyone, today I thought I would share my recent discovery with you. For ages now I have been trying to find a Saint Germain lipstick dupe, as I love the colour so much, but the texture just sucks and I find the lipstick to be too thick and uncomfortable on the lips. So after months of searching I have found a 100% perfect spot on dupe for only £3! Drum roll please, it is the Collection lipstick in Bubblegum, it last for hours, and is even better quality than MAC. I hope this helped in some way and swatches are down below :)

Sleek Eyebrow Stylist Review

The swatch above shows two strokes on the left and one stroke on the right

Hello everyone, today I am bringing you a review of the brand new Sleek Eyebrow Stylist. It retails for £5.99, and is available in three shades. This nifty little product had two ends, the first with a eyebrow groomer/brush and the second with the product. The product itself is in a slated triangle shape, which is perfect for filling in the brows accurately. The formula is spot on, it's creamy enough to give colour, whilst being hard enough to draw accurate lines without smudging. The colour light is absolutely perfect for blondes through to light brunettes, it's very cool toned and looks 100% natural. My brows are very sparse, oily, and so blonde that they look pretty much clear, but when I put this on I was blown away, they looked full and sharp without looking fake. Not to mention the lasting power, I put this on at 5am with nothing else on top or bottom, when I got home at 6pm they still looked fresh and like I had only just filled in my brows, AMAZING! I really would recommend this to everyone, the price is an absolute bargain for what your getting, and this has become my holy grail brow item.

Bottom line:
Price- 10/10 worth every penny
Packaging- 10/10 sleek, handbag friendly, easy to use
Pigmentation- 10/10 looks natural when applied
texture- 10/10 soft and creamy
formula- 10/10 perfect
The perfect eyebrow product!

Sleek Blush By 3 Pink Lemonade Review and Swatches

Hello everyone, today I am bringing you my review of the brand new Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in Pink Lemonade. Sleek have come out with so many new products recently, including two new blush by 3 palettes, Californ.I.A , which contains 3 peach and orangey cream blushes, and Pink lemonade, which contains 2 powders and 1 cream blush. These blush palettes are £9.99; which is amazing value for what your getting. I love how versatile this palette is, as you have the cream blush which is a perfect base for the other blushes included, but also makes a really great lip stain, and looks great on it's own. Then you have the powder blushes, for me they last up to 5 hours before they start to fade, but are still visible at the end of the day, they are both shimmers so double up as a highlighter, and look stunning on the skin. I really think that these blushes are a must have for anyone's makeup collection, and look stunning on a variety of skin tones, especially fair to light.

The first shade included is Icing Sugar. A baby pink shimmer, very soft and buttery to the touch. On the skin there is visible glitter when applied, however it doesn't make you look like a disco ball, and is actually very flattering. This is the sheerer of the three shades, and I find one layer gives a very light highlight, then building up to 2 or 3 layers you see the true blush colour coming through, and it truly is beautiful.

The next shade included is the cream blush Macaroon. A really nice neutral pink. As I mentioned earlier this works well on it's own, with the other powder blushes and as a lip tint. It's very smooth to the touch, very pigmented, and sets to a matte finish, perfect for those natural days! I would recommend applying this with a small stipple brush, or fingers.

The last shade included is pink mint, a love child of Icing Sugar, Macaroon and a bronzer. It appears quite harsh in the pan and is extremely pigmented, so a light touch is definitely needed, however on the skin it looks so beautiful. It has just the right amount of shimmer without any chunky glitter and I think this is going to be my go to summer blush. It is soft and buttery to touch, and blends seamlessly onto the skin.

From left to right, Icing Sugar, Macaroon, Pink Mint. Taken in natural light.

Bottom Line:
Price:- 10/10 great value for money
Packaging- 9/10 love the big mirror, very sleek and compact, however I wish it came with a divider or something in between the shades, as I have found some powder fall into the cream shades
Pigmentation- 10/10 perfect
Texture 10/10 soft and buttery throughout
lasting power- 9/10 5 hours before fading, very good, durable colour

17 Superlash Mascara And Liner Review

Hello everyone, today I am bringing you my review of the brand new 17 Superlash mascara and liquid eyeliner. The mascara retails for £6.99 and the liner for £2.99.

So first off we have the felt tip liquid liner. The smell is chemically but didn't upset my sensitive eyes. This is a super black liner which I love as it's pretty bold, yet at the same time because the tip is so small you can create anything from a really fine line to a bold thick winged look. This is the smallest tip I have ever seen on a liner, so perfect if your just starting out , as you have good control and you have precision. The tip reminds me of a highlighter pen, with lots of angles, making it really versatile. It dries to a semi matte finish, and has nice staying power, for me it lasted 12 hours without smudging, running or fading which is excellent when taking into account the price.

These are very quick initial swatches made with one stroke.

Bottom line:
Smell- 6/10 Chemically
Price- 10/10 Bargain!
Packaging- 10/ 10 Sleek, travel and handbag friendly
 Pigmentation- 10/10 Really nice
Easy to use: 9/10
Lasting power- 10/10 faultless

Now to the mascara, I feel very mixed about this, 17 says that this mascara gives '' up to 93% longer looking lashes instantly! Give your lashes super hero status with our amazing super fibre lengthening mascara & volumising booster brush''. I agree with a majority of the claims, it does make lashes look really long, I wouldn't say that it necessarily volumises, however it does do a nice job of separating the lashes. The smell again is very chemically but not irritating. I like how black it is and there is also the option of a brown shade. The brush is your standard mascara brush, not to thin and not to think, it narrows towards the end, so enables you to reach the outer and inner lashes. However what I have found is that the more you use this, the more mascara gets clumped in the brush, which then gets caught on the lashes, so what I do is keep running the brush through my lashes which tends to remove the access, not to good if your in a rush though. I find that two coats is enough, and if you wanted to go more dramatic then three coats gives a nice effect. The thing I really don't like about this mascara is that it does run, on the top lashes it's fine and lasts all day, however on the bottom lashes, for me I looked in the mirror 5 hours after application and I had panda eyes. All the mascara had come off my bottom lashes and onto my skin, which is weird as that has never ever happened before, and I can't think why either, as I wasn't crying, and hadn't been in the rain or even rubbed my eyes. I like the effect and how it looks on the top lashes, but stay well away from the bottom lashes!

This is three coats on the top, and 1 coat on the bottom.

Bottom line:
Clumpyness- 7/10 As you add more layers, clumps become more apparent
Separation- 9/10 Does a nice job
Curl- 6/10 Would recommend using a curler first
Volume- 6/10 No visible difference
Lasting power- 5/10 good on top, horrific on bottom lashes
Brush- 8/10 nice shape and size, don't like that it holds random clumps of mascara
smudging- 2/10 Not impressed
Price- 4/10 I have had better performing £2 mascaras

Sleek Garden Of Eden I-Divine Review and Swatches

Hello everyone, today I am bringing you my review of the new Sleek Garden of Eden I-Divine. This is a beautiful new palette, filled with rich earthy tones, which features colours from bronze, to pink and greens. Overall I am impressed with this palette, I really love the shades included, especially the pinks , I think the colours are very unique, can create a variety of looks, are a dream to work with; and blend into eachother seamlessly! However I must say, there are three shades in this palette, the two glitters and a matte (as shown in the pictures below) that just lack colour pay off , and have a rough texture, compared to the normal buttery texture. I found this very disappointing, but, the other colours are so exceptionally good that this doesn't bother me too much, just make sure you use a white base underneath :)

From left to right we have:
Gates of Eden- A beautiful rustic gold frost, looks absolutely stunning on the inner corner and lids
Eve's Kiss- A light mauvey-pink frost with a gold undertone
Paradise on Earth- A darker mauvey-pink frost with a bronze undertone, looks beautiful when paired with Eve's Kiss
Python-  A dark brown frost with a rosy undertone
Forbidden- the first of the let down shades, very sheer grey glitter with a pink undertone, such a shame it isn't more pigmented as it looks so beautiful in the pan
Flora- A dark muddy brown matte

From left to right:
Entwined- Mid brown with gold glitter, not very pigmented, the swatch was three layers!
Adam's Apple- A pastel lime green matte, the last shade that's a bit of a let down, it's not that it's not pigmented, it's that it's such a pale colour that it doesn't show up that well on the lid , however with a white base it does look quite nice
Fig- A lime green frost with a gold shimmer, this looks stunning when over the top of the maybelline colour tattoo in eternal gold
Evergreen- A true green frost
Fauna- A cool mid tone green frost
Tree of Life- A dark blue tone matte green

Bottom line:
Packaging- 10/10 sleek, stylish, travel friendly, love the huge mirror
Texture- 6/10 most buttery, hit and miss
Pigmentation- 7/10 some shades lacking
Fallout- 8/10 little, most in the frosts
Price- £7.99 bargain

Beauty UK Lipstick Review and Swatches

Hello everyone, today I am bringing you my Beauty UK Lipstick review. First off, I am absolutely in LOVE with these lippies, everything about them from the formula, colour selection and packaging; not to mention the excellent price at only £3.50. There are two different formulas available, matte and cream. The cream formulas are a dream, they glide on smoothly, feel silky, leave a beautiful stain, look glossy, are richly pigmented and have a nice slight mint smell. Similarly the mattes are equally pigmented, leave a nice stain and have the same minty smell; however, one thing to note is that because the formula is dryer they can be hard to work with, although this is easily fixed by applying a thin layer of lip balm underneath. The colour selection is incredible with 19 available, ranging from black, reds, plums, pinks, nudes and peaches. I would recommend these to everyone, and they can be found in Superdrug or on the Beauty Uk website.

These are the matte swatches, from left to right we have:
Cupcake- The perfect Barbie pink
Candy- A nice bright pink without being to showy, perfect with a smokey eye
Snob- A beautiful mauvey-pink (one of my favourite lipsticks)
Son of a peach - straight up pale peach

These are the cream lipstick swatches, from left to right we have:
Pink my ride- My favourite lipstick of all time, the perfect bright blue toned pink
Passion- A really nice deep red toned pink
Naughty- An extremely bright red, Also one of my favourite lipsticks
Plumalicious- A dark plum, perfect statement lip, this also leaves A really nice deep red stain

Bottom Line:
Smell: 7/10 not the best, not the worst
Texture: 10/10 beautiful and silky
Pigmentation: 10/10 faultless
Packaging 10/10 love it!
Price: 10/10 An absolute steal!
